Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll for 2013

Doug Sage will make his head coach debut with the Royals on Saturday, February 23, when Scranton hosts Farmingdale State at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field. He welcomes back 30 lettermen, including five starters, from last year's team that went 9-7 overall and qualified for the Landmark Conference tournament for the second straight season and for the fourth time in the conference's five-year history.

Scranton won its first-ever Landmark Conference title and advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament for the first time in school history in 2011.

Washington & Jefferson is competing in the Landmark Conference for a second season this spring as an affiliate member. Last year, W&J placed sixth in the league standings with a 1-5 record. The Presidents' first-ever conference win was recorded on April 21 in King's Point, N.Y., after knocking off USMMA by a 9-8 margin on junior Casey Smallwood's (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) goal with 58 seconds remaining.

The 2013 Presidents will be led by a new head coach as Daniel Usaj makes his debut in 10 days when Washington & Jefferson travels to Thiel for a 1:00 pm match. Senior attacker Joseph Eck (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly), a Second Team All-Landmark Conference choice, highlights the Presidents' returnees.

W&J competed as a NCAA Division III independent for 10 years before joining the Landmark Conference.
