Drexel Doubles up La Salle in Crosstown Tilt

Philadelphia - Drexel topped La Salle, 12-6, in their home opener at Vidas Field on Wednesday night. The Dragons held a 7-4 advantage at halftime, and were able to put up five more points in the final 30 minutes of play for their second straight win.

Kelli Joran paced the attack with three goals and two assists for five total points. Sophomore goalkeeper Teresha Bradley set a new career high with seven saves against the Explorers.

Caitlyn Brostrand (Runnemede, N.J./Camden Catholic) scored two goals to lead La Salle. Lauren McDermott (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn), and Kelly Furman (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) added a goal and assist apiece.

The Explorers fall to 1-1, while the Dragons improve to 2-0.
