No. 18 Syracuse Defense Holds Black Knights to Two Goals

Army heads south for its longest road trip of the regular season next week. The Black Knights meet Michigan for the first time in program history on Saturday, March 2, in the final game of the Orange Bowl Lacrosse Classic. Face-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Fla.

Game notes: Garrett Thul had the honor of carrying the traditional American flag out of the Carrier Dome tunnel ... he later saw the nation's longest goal-scoring streak end at 42 games ... Thul was held scoreless for just the second time in his career ... Army's six goals allowed are the fewest it has yielded this season ... the teams combined for 25 turnovers (13 Army, 12 Syracuse) ... Army played in front of a season-high 3,613 spectators ... Alex Daly took all 12 face-offs on the day ... senior defenseman Brendan Buckley caused a team-high two turnovers and tallied four ground balls.
