SYRACUSE, N.Y. - No. 18 Syracuse evened its record at 1-1 on Sunday at the Carrier Dome. The Orange defense shut down Army, holding the Black Knights scoreless in the second half en route to a 6-2 victory. Goalie Bobby Wardwell had 11 saves on the day, and Army counterpart Sam Somers stopped 18 Syracuse shots. Photos of the game are by Rich Barnes.
