Buffalo State Rolls by Washington & Jefferson in Opener

WASHINGTON, Pa. Jenn Shaddock and Renee Glass both scored four goals to help Buffalo State earn a 15-3 victory over Washington & Jefferson on Friday in the 2013 season opener for both teams at Alexandre Stadium.

The loss spoiled the debut of W&J Head Coach Tracy Coyne, who previously spent 15 years at the Head Coach of the University of Notre Dame.

Buffalo State outshot W&J by a 40-7 margin, forced 18 turnovers and held a 13-6 edge in draw controls. Caporizzo finished with two goals and two assists for the Bengals, who had seven different goal scorers. Adelena DiDuro played the first half in goal and only needed to make on save to record the win.

Fradkin paced the Presidents with a pair of goals to up her career total to 133. Freshman midfielder Diana Harvey (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) also scored her first collegiate goal. W&J looks to bounce back on Sunday when hosting the Hood Blazers (2-0) at Alexandre Stadium at 1:00 pm.
