Panthers Down Wolverines in Low-Scoring Affair

FERRUM, Va. After a low scoring first half that was tied at 2, Ferrum went on to defeat Wesley, 9-7 on Sunday afternoon at W.B. Adams Field. The Wolverines fall to 2-1 on the year, while the Panthers improve to 4-2.

Dan Tryon scored on an unassisted goal in the first and Lane Kocovsky found Jathan Mahaffey in the second to round out the scoring for Wesley in the first 30 minutes.

Ferrum outscored Wesley, 5-1 in the third quarter, behind three goals by Tyler Poage. Kocovsky found the back with 5:13 remaining in the third, making the score 4-3 in favor of the Panthers, who led, 7-3 after three periods.
