IWLCA Poll for Women's Division II - March 4th

The LIU Post Pioneers, the reigning national champions, remain at No. 1 for the second consecutive week as the IWLCA released its weekly poll for the 2013 season. Both the Northeast-10 and the PSAC boast five schools in the poll, with the NE-10 claiming five of the top-10 spots in the rankings.

The Northeast-10 is led by No. 2 LeMoyne while Adelphi remains at No. 5. Stonehill (No. 7), New Haven (No. 8), and Bentley (No. 9) also hold steady from the first weekly poll.

The PSAC's West Chester holds on to the No. 3 spot;

in the second weekly poll for the 2013 season. The Northeast-10 and the PSAC both have five schools in the top-15, with the NE-10 claiming half of the top-10 spots.

All five of the NE-10 schools sit in the top-10 of the first weekly poll, led by LeMoyne at No. 2 and Adelphi at No. 5. Stonehill starts a block of three institutions at No. 7, with New Haven (No. 8) and Bentley (No. 9) right behind the Skyhawks.

West Chester leads the PSAC at No. 3. Lock Haven leads a trio of PSAC schools at No. 11; Bloomsburg (No. 12) and Gannon (No. 13) follow right behind while Mercyhurst rounds out the poll at No. 15.

LIU Post from the ECC leads the poll and is joined by Dowling in the top-10 as the Golden Lions move up to the No. 10 spot for this week. Conference Carolinas also has two schools in the rankings as No. 6 Limestone is joined by Pfeiffer, who enters the rankings at No. 14.

Rollins, a 2012 semifinalist and an independent in lacrosse, holds at No. 4.

On Wednesday, poll newcomer and No. 14 Pfeiffer hosts No. 2 LeMoyne. Saturday features a top-10 tilt between No. 8 New Haven and No. 10 Dowling at New Haven, while on Sunday No. 6 Limestone hosts No. 13 Gannon.

This is the second weekly poll for the IWLCA for the 2013 season; the next regular-season poll will be released Mar. 12.
