Grizzlies Rewrite Record Books in Win Over Trine

Trine's best period came as both sides began to put in multiple substitutes as the Thunder three goals in the 4th quarter. O'Keefe redeemed himself by weaving down the field, through the Grizzly defense, and firing a low strike from about 10 yards out for the goal, his first of the season. Attackman George Youpel (Chicago Ridge, Ill./St Rita) and Ruby's second goal got an assist from senior midfielders Dalton Madsen (Westminster, Colo./Northglenn) and Sean Robb (St. Louis, Mo./Lindbergh) respectively. Ruby's goal came with just 37 seconds left to close out the scoring for the night.

Sophomore Matt Lamb (Akron, Ohio/Revere) started in goal for the Thunder, playing the first three quarters and making eight saves in the loss. Freshman Sam Margulis (St. Louis, Mo./MICDS) and sophomore Austin Helm (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) also saw time between the pipes for the Thunder with Helm making two stops.

The Thunder looks for their first win on the young season against Colorado College on March 8 at 8:00 p.m. (EST). The game will be the last for Trine before returning home from its spring break road trip.
