Blazers Fall at Randolph Macon

ASHLAND, Va.-Hood College (2-2) was defeated by Randolph Macon (4-0) 17-6 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

The Blazers were paced by senior Caitlin Lawrence with the attacker scoring three goals and assisting on one more. The three goals bring Lawrence's season total to 20, which is tops in the Commonwealth.

Sophomore midfielder Ashley Kitzmiller also found the back of the net, scoring twice for the blue and grey and assisting on another. Sophomore Brigid Ayer rounded out the scoring with a second half strike. Randolph Macon was led by Emily Lynch's four goals.

Hood goalkeeper Lauren Couch made nine saves in defeat, while the duo of Nicole Woodworth and Morgan Tignor made four combined saves and got the victory for Randolph-Macon.

The Blazers get right back to work when they return to action tomorrow to take on Ferrum College. The game is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
