Western New England Stomps Emerson, 23-4

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Freshman defender Erin Conn (Yorktown Heights, NY) netted three goals and had an assist to lead 18 players in the scoring column as Western New England College rolled to an easy 23-4 victory over Emerson in a New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) game.

Senior Alyson Nowell (Feeding Hills, MA) added two goals and two assists to move into second place on the school's all-time scoring list with 179 points.

Sophomore midfielder Jill Caracciolo (Burnt Hills, NY) had the first two goals of her collegiate career while freshmen attack players Molly Chamberlain (New Britain, CT) and Michelle Dolan Hardcastle (Springfield, MA), and freshmen defenders Michelle DeBellis (Wantagh, NY), and Ashley Richard (South Hadley, MA) chipped in with their first collegiate goals as well.

Junior midfielder Keri Angus (Coventry, RI) led the Lions (3-5, 1-3) with two goals.

Western New England College improves to 5-3 and 2-0 in the NEWLA.
