No. 3 Cortland Victorious at No. 9 Franklin & Marshall

Junior goalie Kelsey Hoffman (Arlington, MA/Buckingham Browne & Nichols) turned aside six shots. Shields and senior Jen Noon (Baldwin, MD/Bryn Mawr) each recorded three caused turnovers, while Krohn registered a game-high seven draw controls.

Cortland took a 3-0 lead just over five minutes into the game on a goal by Campese and back-to-back scores from Di Fato. The Diplomats pulled to within 4-3 by scoring three of the next four goals, but the Red Dragons closed the half by outscoring Franklin & Marshall, 6-1, over the final 15 minutes for a 10-4 lead at the break. Both Di Fato and Geremia recorded two goals and two assists in that span.

Kelly opened the second half with a goal 1:13 into the action to make it 10-5 before Cortland took control of the game by netting five of the next six goals for a 15-6 advantage with 9:44 to play. Five different players found the back of the net for the Red Dragons during the stretch. The Diplomats closed the game with the final three goals, two by Jorgenson, for the 15-9 final.
