The Privateers also got goals from junior Dylan Larmony (Old Bethpage, N.Y./Planview JFK) and freshman Kevin Connolly (Babylon, N.Y./Babylon).

In goal, senior Nick Barbuto (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford) recorded 16 saves in three quarters of action to pick up his second victory of the season. Freshman Mike Arnold (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) played the entire fourth quarter and made seven saves to preserve the win.

Senior Joe Villarreal (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell) was a team-high 11 for 17 from the faceoff-X and picked up a game-high nine groundballs. Hayes was close behind in both categories, going 8 for 15 on faceoffs and recording seven GBs. Messina had five groundballs and Tom Kelly and senior Daniel Viggiano (Yonkers, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) both scooped up four GBs.

The Privateers were 6-for11 on extra-man opportunities and out-rebounded Becker 45-27.

For the Hawks, sophomore David Deschenes recorded a team-high two goals, while senior Jeff Petersen added one goal and one assist. Muñoz ended the game with 13 saves in the losing effort.
