#6 Limestone Dominates #13 Gannon Behind Treat's 7 Goals

Limestone opened the second half with four more scores, pushing the lead to 15-4 with 15:36 to play. In all, the Saints scored seven consecutive goals between the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half. Gannon went 29 minutes and 48 seconds without a goal until Fugate tallied her second of the match with 12 minutes left in the contest.

Lombardoni and Fugate scored two goals each for the Lady Knights. Neagle and Christie Valentine (Friendship, Md./Annapolis Area Christian) recorded the squad's other two scores. Margaret Maslyn (Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan Academy) turned away seven shots in goal, recording four saves during the first half and three more during the final 30 minutes.

Gannon, ranked 13th in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Top 15 Poll, completed its spring trip at 1-2. Limestone, tabbed sixth in the national rankings, improved to 5-1. The Lady Knights return to action Thursday, March 14 against Notre Dame (Ohio) at Gannon University Field. The home opener is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
