IWLCA Poll for Women's Division II - March 11th

The reigning champion LIU Post Pioneers remain at No. 1 for the third consecutive week as the IWLCA released its third weekly poll for the 2013 season. Both the Northeast-10 continues to lead all conferences with five ranked teams, while the PSAC follows close behind with four teams in the poll. Both Conference Carolinas and the ECC claim two schools each in this week's rankings.

The Northeast-10 is led by No. 4 Adelphi, who just edged out No. 5 LeMoyne for the top spot in the conference. Bentley at No. 9 leads a pack of three NE-10 schools as Stonehill moves to No. 10, just in front of No. 11 New Haven.

The PSAC's West Chester moves up to No. 2, holding on to one first-place vote. Lock Haven moves to No. 12, while Bloomsburg (No. 14) and Mercyhurst (No. 15) round out this week's rankings.

LIU Post from the ECC continues to lead the poll and is joined in the top-10 by Dowling, who moves up two spots to No. 8. Conference Carolinas also has two schools in the rankings as No. 6 Limestone is joined by Pfeiffer, who shoots up seven spots to land at No. 7.

Rollins, a 2012 semifinalist and an independent in lacrosse, rises to No. 3 while Florida Southern rejoins the rankings at No. 13.

On Wednesday, top-ranked LIU Post hosts No. 11 New Haven while fellow ECC school and No. 8 Dowling welcomes No. 14 Bloomsburg. Saturday features a neutral site game in Arnold, Md. at Anne Arundel Community College between No. 7 Pfeiffer and No. 11 New Haven as well as a key south regional game with No. 3 Rollins hosting No. 6 Limestone. On Sunday, No. 9 Bentley hosts No. 5 LeMoyne in a top-10 match-up that is also a crucial NE-10 tilt.

This is the third weekly poll for the IWLCA for the 2013 season; the next regular-season poll will be released Mar. 19.
