Saint Michael's Lacrosse Team Involved in Bus Accident

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College confirms that the bus carrying its men's lacrosse team was involved in a traffic accident on Interstate 87, in the Clifton Park, N.Y., area today, March 12.

Thankfully, all members of the team and travel party are reported to be safe, and have been taken to a local fire station for the time being. They are receiving food and other support at this location. The team was enroute to a scheduled game with Mercy College, scheduled for tomorrow (March 13) at 3:00 pm.

As the accident is still under investigation, and may be for a considerable length of time, we cannot comment on any further details at this time. Our attention and resources are committed to supporting our student-athletes and staff members involved in the accident.

Update (4:20 pm ET): For those interested in the number of Saint Michaelís representatives in the menís lacrosse travel party today, we just got confirmation that there were 34 players, two coaches, and one athletic trainer.
