While Salmon found the back of the cage with 19:11 showing to halt the run, W&M would score just once more as UVA earned the victory.

Virginia held a 17-8 advantage in draws and owned a narrow 14-12 edge in ground balls.

Casey Bocklet led UVA with six points (5g, 1a), while Courtney Swan added four goals and five draw controls.

The Tribe will return to action when it hosts top-ranked Maryland next Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
