Misericordia Uses 9-0 Scoring Run to Down Alvernia
Dallas, Pa. (Mar. 16, 2013) - Alvernia junior Colin Gallagher (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) scored back-to-back goals for a 2-1 lead early, but Misericordia (4-0) answered with nine straight for a 10-2 halftime lead on its way to a 13-6 win over the Crusaders (3-4) Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at a snowy Mangelsdorf Field.
Brian Ray (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) led the way for the Crusaders with three goals, all in the second half, and Brandon Weaver (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) made 20 saves in net.
