Brostrand's Five Goals Carry Explorers by Leopards
EASTON, Pa. - La Salle's Caitlyn Brostrand (Runnemede, N.J./Camden Catholic) drained five goals to lead all scorers as the Explorers wrapped up a program-best nonconference season with an 11-8 win at Lafayette on Tuesday night.
The Explorers finish non-league play at 8-1, the best start in program history. The Leopards dropped to 6-4.
Lauren McDermott (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and Melanie Sarcinello (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) added three points apiece on two goals and an assist each. Rookie Katelyn Fay (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) added two goals.
