IWLCA Poll for Women's Division II - March 25th

The LIU Post Pioneers continue to sit in the top spot of the IWLCA weekly poll, garnering 12 first-place votes to stay in front of West Chester University. These two schools have been 1-2 for the last four weeks.

The Northeast-10 has five schools in the rankings for a fifth consecutive week; the PSAC claims four while the ECC and Conference Carolinas both have two schools in the poll. The same 15 schools ranked last week remain in this week's poll.

The NE-10 has five schools in the top-ten, led by No. 5 Adelphi. Bentley leads a group of three conference schools in a block at the bottom of the top-10 as the Falcons move to No. 8, while LeMoyne (No. 9) and Stonehill (No. 10) hold their positions from last week. New Haven dropped one spot to sit at No. 14.

West Chester from the PSAC holds at No. 2; the Golden Rams picked up a second first-place vote to edge closer to the Pioneers. Lock Haven remained at No. 11, while Bloomsburg jumped up two slots and now sits at No. 13 and Mercyhurst dropped to No. 15.

The ECC continues to be led by top-ranked LIU Post; the Golden Lions of Dowling moved up again and now hold the No. 7 ranking.

The Conference Carolinas schools both hold steady from last week as Limestone remains at No. 3 and Pfeiffer holds at No. 6.

Rollins, an independent in lacrosse, moves back up to No. 4 while Florida Southern, also an independent school in lacrosse, shifts to No. 12.

On Wednesday, a PSAC match-up between No. 2 West Chester and No. 13 Bloomsburg takes place in West Chester while on Thursday, No. 8 Bentley hosts No. 7 Dowling in a top-10 tilt. On Saturday, three conference games between ranked teams are on the docket, including a top-10 match-up between No. 5 Adelphi and No. 10 Stonehill. The eighth-ranked Falcons take on a ranked opponent in a second consecutive game as they travel to face No. 14 New Haven, and No. 15 Mercyhurst welcomes No. 13 Bloomsburg in a PSAC game.

This is the fifth weekly poll for the IWLCA for the 2013 season; the next weekly poll will be released April 3.
