IWLCA Poll for Women's Division I - March 25th

The top nine spots in the IWLCA poll for March 26 remained the same from last week, and Rutgers joined the ranks this poll, keeping the Big East in the lead with five conference schools in the top-20. Maryland remained on top of the poll with Florida ranked right behind the Terrapins. The ACC and the ALC both have four schools in the poll, with the Ivy League represented by two schools. Five other conferences have a school in the rankings.

The Big East has three schools in the top-10, led by No. 5 Syracuse. No. 7 Notre Dame and No. 8 Georgetown hold their spots from last week, while Loyola moves to No. 17. Rutgers joins the ranks at No. 20.

All four of the ACC schools reside in the top-10, led by No. 1 Maryland. No. 3 North Carolina, No. 6 Duke, and No. 9 Virginia all remain the same from their positions last week.

The ALC's Florida (No. 2) and Northwestern (No. 4) hold steady from last week, while Penn State moves back into the top-10 at No. 10. Johns Hopkins remains at No. 12.

The Ivy League's Cornell leads off the second half at No. 11, while Dartmouth moves to No. 15.

Five other conferences claim one school each in the rankings, starting with the MPSF and the America East as Stanford and Stony Brook tied for the No. 13 spot. Massachusetts from the Atlantic 10 rose to No. 16. No. 18 Navy from the Patriot League and No. 19 James Madison from the CAA both hold steady from last week.

A top-10 match-up takes place on Thursday as No. 6 Duke hosts No. 3 North Carolina. On Saturday, two top-10 games are on the docket at No. 4 Northwestern hosts No. 5 Syracuse and No. 10 Penn State welcomes No. 2 Florida. Saturday also sees No. 19 James Madison hosting No. 13 Stanford.

This is the fifth weekly poll of the 2013 season; the next poll will be released on April 2.
