No. 9 Le Moyne Storms Past American International

Syracuse, N.Y. Senior attacker Kelly Condon (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) scored a career-high four goals to lead ninth-ranked Le Moyne to a 19-1 win over American International on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.

The Dolphins jumped out to a 5-0 lead just 4:19 into the game. Senior midfielder Gabrielle Kamide (Deferiet, N.Y./Carthage) controlled the opening draw of the game and raced down the middle of the field before sending a pass in front of the goal to Condon, who turned and fired in her fifth goal of the season.

Just 29 seconds later, senior attacker Brenna Bauer (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) tallied her ninth goal of the year off a pass from freshman attacker Maggie Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker). Junior midfielder Victoria Nies (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) pushed Le Moyne's lead to 3-0 at the 28:23 mark by converting a free-position shot.

Following a save by sophomore goalkeeper Molly Marbut (Edgewater, Md./South River), sophomore midfielder Laura Hoffman (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) scored her first goal of the season with 26:01 to play. Just 20 seconds later, freshman attacker Claire Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) found the back of the net off a feed from Bauer on a free-position attempt.

American International got on the scoreboard with 25 minutes remaining in the half as Meg Solitario tallied her third goal of the year.

Condon recorded Le Moyne's next two goals, 4:43 apart. She scored her second goal of the day at the 22:45 mark after taking a pass from Maggie Monnat on a free-position attempt and then posted an unassisted goal with 18:02 remaining.

The Monnat sisters then connected on a goal for the first time this season. After picking up a loose ball, Claire carried the ball into the offensive end before sending a pass in front of the goal to Maggie, who sent a low shot into the left side of the net with 15:55 left.

Senior midfielder Jennifer Fabian (Clay, N.Y./C.W. Baker) followed with back-to-back unassisted goals. The first came with 9:15 left in the half, while the second came with 7:37 to go after picking up a loose ball off an American International turnover.

Condon followed 19 seconds later with her fourth goal of the day off another pass from Kamide, who gained control of the ball after causing a turnover.

Sophomore attacker Catie McKay (Penfield, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) finished off the scoring in the first half by finding the back of the net with 3:47 left after taking a pass from a driving Bauer.

Kamide got the Dolphins on the scoreboard in the second half at the 22:54 mark after cutting down the center of the field and taking a pass from behind the goal from Maggie Monnat. Freshman midfielder Mary Fadden (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) tallied her second goal of the campaign with 20:19 left following an AIC turnover. Claire Monnat extended Le Moyne's lead to 15-1 with 16:59 to play with a low, behind-the-back shot off a pass from senior defender Molly Maroney (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt).

Hoffman gave the Dolphins a 15-goal lead with 13:10 remaining on a free-position shot, while classmate Sam Yaro (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) converted a free-position shot of her own 1:54 later. Bauer then netted her team high-tying 10th goal of the year with 7:35 left on the clock. Yaro finished off the game's scoring with 2:22 remaining after sophomore midfielder Julia Suriani (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca East) was awarded a free-position shot.

Marbut finished the game with five saves to earn the win between the pipes. Lissy Doherty stopped 13 Le Moyne shots in the loss for the Yellow Jackets.

Le Moyne (3-2, 1-1 NE-10), which snapped a two-game losing streak, returns to action on Friday at Ted Grant Field against Southern New Hampshire University at 12:00 p.m.
