Hood Held Scoreless in CC Loss at Albright

READING, Pa.--Hood (3-8, 0-2 Commonwealth) dropped an 18-0 Commonwealth Conference decision to the Albright Lions (7-1, 1-0 Commonwealth) Thursday evening.

Hood's trio of goalkeepers registered a total of 14 saves on the night as John Martin made the start and collected four saves, Joseph McCulloh tallied three stops and Cody Haas saw his first action of the spring and turned aside seven Lion attempts in 22:41 of action.

Hood won nine face-offs, including nine by Randolph Clark, one by Domenic Cetrone and two by Brandon McCormick. Clark also scooped six ground balls. The Blazer defense, led by Mark Filuta, Tucker Palmer, Nicholas Galliani, James Weger and Billy Larrimore, also forced 11 Albright miscues.

Ryan Turner led the Lion charge with five goals as nine different players got into the scoring column for Albright.

Hood looks to get back on track Wednesday when it hosts Elizabethtown College in a Commonwealth tilt at Thomas Athletic Field at 4:00 p.m.
