Photos: No. 2 Maryland Spoils the Day for Crowd at No. 17 UVa

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Second-ranked Maryland started hot, jumping to a 5-1 lead, and the Terrapins went on to 9-7 victory over No. 17 Virginia in front of 5,225 at Klockner Stadium on Saturday. Jay Carlson scored three times and Niko Amato recorded 14 saves for the Terps, who are now 7-1 and perhaps set to take over the top spot in the USILA poll. The Cavaliers dropped their fourth game in a row to fall to 5-5 on the season. Photos of the game are by Ben Mackey.
