No. 14 Mercyhurst Falls Hard at No. 2 West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- #14 Mercyhurst lost, 19-5, at #2 West Chester Saturday afternoon. Anna LeGrett scored three goals in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match.

Mercyhurst fell behind 7-0 in the first twenty minutes. LeGrett scored a man-up goal with 9:49 left in the half. West Chester then scored the last three goals of the period, taking a 10-1 advantage into the locker room.

The Rams did not let up in the second half, scoring the first nine goals of the frame. Olivia Keirn scored with 5:47 to go. LeGrett found the back of the net and then Rebecca Himes assisted on an Alisha Catalino goal with 3:43 remaining. LeGrett finished the day's scoring at the 2:24 mark.

LeGrett had a hat trick and Catalino had a goal and five draw controls. Rebecca Muscella made four saves in goal. Lauren Glassey and Tori Dugan led WCU with three goals and three assists apiece.

The Lakers dropped to 9-2 overall and 4-1 in the PSAC. West Chester is now 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference. Mercyhurst plays at East Stroudsburg on Tuesday, April 10, in another PSAC contest. The game is slated for a 4:00 p.m. start.
