Shepherd Doubled Up by No. 4 Rollins

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. Erin Pagliarulo scored four goals to lead fourth-ranked Rollins to an 18-9 win over Shepherd in action at Ram Stadium on Monday afternoon. Sophie Townsend and Tyler Thomas each added three goals for the Tars.

Freshman midfielder Erin Phelan (Thurmont, MD/Catoctin) led the Rams with three goals and an assist. Freshman attacker Hunter Morris (Severna Park, MD/Severn School) added two goals and an assist.

Senior midfielder Nicole Ruane (Sykesville, MD/Century) and sophomore attacker Georgia Karr (Eldersburg, MD/Liberty) each tallied a goal and an assist, while junior midfielder Jenny Cavey (Sykesville, MD/Westminster) and sophomore attacker/midfielder Kelsey Eagan (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point) each scored a goal. Junior midfielder Christina Ferrara (California, MD/Leonardtown) contributed an assist.

Sophomore netminder Lily Schmulowitz (Baltimore, MD/Catonsville) recorded 10 saves for the Rams, while Elyse De Lisle recorded eight saves for Rollins.

The Tars got out to a 9-3 lead and held a 13-6 advantage at halftime. Rollins held a 36-22 advantage in shots and a 25-18 edge in ground balls.

Shepherd falls to 8-5, while Rollins improves to 9-1. The Rams return to action next Monday when they travel to Millersville for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
