IWLCA Poll for Women's Division III - April 8th

The Trinity Bantams stayed at No. 1 while the Salisbury Sea Gulls stayed No. 2; Fredonia's addition to the rankings this week allows the SUNYAC to remain as one of only four conferences with multiple schools in the poll as the IWLCA released its weekly poll.

The NESCAC continues to lead all conferences with seven ranked teams, including five in the top-10. The Centennial Conference boasts three teams, while the SUNYAC and Capital Athletic Conference both have two ranked teams.

Trinity from the NESCAC continues at No. 1, with No. 3 Middlebury, No. 6 Colby, No. 9 Bowdoin and No. 10:00 a.m.herst holding steady from last week. Hamilton moves to No. 16 and Tufts shifts to No. 17.

The Centennial's Gettysburg remains at No. 5 while Franklin & Marshall moves up one spot to No. 7. Washington College also improves, landing at No. 18 this week.

Salisbury from the CAC stays at No. 2 as the Sea Gulls are the only school other than Trinity to pick up first-place votes. York starts off the second half of the poll at No. 11.

The SUNYAC's Cortland remains at No. 4 while Fredonia enters this week's poll at No. 20.

Five other conferences boast one school each. The TCNJ Lions from the NJAC remain in the top-10 at No. 8. Susquehanna from the Landmark holds at No. 12 and Ithaca from the Empire 8 also remains the same, holding at No. 13. Messiah from the Commonwealth Conference remains at No. 14, while the USA South's Christopher Newport moves up two slots to land at No. 15. RPI from the Liberty League moves to No. 19.

There are three games this week between ranked teams, all taking place on Saturday. Two of the games feature two top-8 teams, including a NESCAC showdown in Connecticut as top-ranked Trinity hosts No. 3 Middlebury. Staying in the NESCAC, No. 17 Tufts hosts No. 10:00 a.m.herst. Another top-eight showdown includes No. 2 Salisbury welcoming No. 8 TCNJ.
