Holy Cross Upends Harvard for Sixth Victory

Early in the second, Kucharczyk struck again, as the Crimson got within two, 8-6, but Holy Cross snapped the Harvard goal streak with 22:28 remaining. The Crusaders netted the game's next four goals until Kucharczyk completed her hat trick with a third tally with 14:27 left in the second.

Down the stretch in the second half, Kyleigh Keating had the scoring touch at 11:06, and then Todd assisted on another goal by Nicolia at 9:42, 15-9. With 6:13 left to play, Keating found Todd for Harvard's 10th goal, getting the Crimson back within five, 15-10. Kucharczyk netted her fourth goal with 3:42 remaining, and then Morgan Powell made it a 17-12 contest with a tally at 2:28.

Melanie Cook started the game in net for Harvard and made one save, while Jenn Hatfield recorded three stops in relief. Holy Cross goalie Sarah Weber turned aside seven shots.

Harvard held the final count in shots, 32-27, and draw controls, 18-13, while the Crusaders owned the edge in ground balls, 9-8. The Crimson was 7 of 8 on clear attempts and 4 of 5 on free-position attempts.

The Crimson will visit Princeton Saturday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m.
