Lovallo Named POY, but Knights Drop Title Game to Reinhardt

Clinton, SC-- Lady Knight junior Catherine Lovallo was announced Friday at the AAC Award banquet that she was named as the Player of the Year as she was able to score 44 points in conference play. However, it was not enough on Friday, as St. Andrews could not overcome a gritty Reinhardt team in falling 12-10 at Presbyterian College.

Senior Shana Schroeder, who was also named to the first team all-conference, scored 5 goals today with one assist.

The following players from the Lady Knights made all-conference first team: Lovallo, Schroeder (42 points), senior Victoria Bickett (39), junior Jackie Jones (38), junior Ariana Vicari (35) and senior Meghan Powell as Goalkeeper of the year.

The all-conference second team included sophomore defenders Arianna Smith and Alethia Walker.

St. Andrews falls to 9-8 on the year and will next travel to Belleville, Illinois to play in the National Tournament from April 18-20. Opponents and times TBA.
