ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship Bracket Released

GREENSBORO, N.C. Pairings for the 2013 ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship have been determined. Maryland enters as the No. 1 seed in the upcoming two-day championship, which will take place April 26 and 28 at Kenan Stadium on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Maryland, which defeated Duke and Virginia earlier in the season to earn the top seed, concluded the regular season with a 2-1 record in conference play and is 8-1 with three games remaining before the tournament.

The Terrapins will face fourth-seeded Virginia (0-3) on Friday, April 26, at 5 p.m. on ESPNU in the first semifinal game. Maryland won the regular season meeting between the two teams, 9-7, in Charlottesville, Va., on March 30.

No. 2 North Carolina (2-1), the championship host, will face third-seeded Duke (2-1) at 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU in the second semifinal. The Blue Devils defeated the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill, N.C., 11-8, on March 13. The game is a rematch of the 2012 ACC Championship Game, which Duke won, 12-9.

The three teams tied atop the standings were split based on tiebreakers. With head-to-head results among the tied teams and record against the non-tied team all equal, the next tiebreaker that took effect was goals allowed among the tied teams, which gave the edge to Maryland.
