Centenary Falls to Cabrini in Tough Road Loss

RADNOR, Pa. (April 13, 2013) Centenary dropped a tough conference match-up to Cabrini on Saturday, falling to the Cavaliers, 18-2, on the road.

The Cavaliers came out attacking in the first half with two goals in the first three minutes before Nicole Judd (St. Louis, MO, Lafayette) was able to get the Cyclones on the board as she found the back of the net only 18 seconds after the Cabrini goal to cut the deficit to 2-1 in the early goings.

Unfortunately the Cavaliers responded immediately back with three more goals over the next three minutes to jump to a 5-1 lead. With just over 17:30 left in the first half, Allie Swartz (Marlton, NJ, Cherokee) was able to attack the net for the Cyclones second goal of the game before the Cavaliers began to rally together on their way to an 18-2 victory.

Andrea Senkarik (Mays Landing, NJ, Oakcrest) picked up 14 saves for the Cyclones while picking up a team-high seven groundballs along the way despite the loss.

With the loss, the Cyclones fall to 4-7 on the season including a 2-3 conference mark but look to bounce back on Tuesday when they return home to host Gwynedd-Mercy College at 4:00 pm.
