Video: McDonogh Picks up Big MIAA Win at Calvert Hall

McDonogh traveled to Calvert Hall over the course of two days and pulled out big conference win, 9-6. Friday's match was suspended by weather, and play resumed a day later.

The Eagles were led by defenders Alex Hurdle and Danny Sweeney as well as goaltender Nick Doyle in their victory over the defending MIAA champion Cardinals. Offensively, the Eagles got tremendous contributions by attackman Trey McGee and do-everything middie Austin Frederick, who earned the "Under Armour Underclass Elite star of the game."

A lightning delay at about the 3 minute mark of the opening quarter on Friday forced the remainder of the contest to be played Saturday at 4:00 pm.

Calvert Hall again received tremendous work by the Kellys - Stephen, Johnny, and Timmy. Garrett Epple was a force for the Cardinal squad, which just could not penetrate the Eagle defense in the second half, registering only one goal after the halftime.
