IWLCA Poll for Women's Division III - April 22nd

The Trinity Bantams remained at No. 1 and 10 conferences claimed at least one school in this week's rankings, with the NESCAC boasting six of those spots. The CAC, SUNYAC, Centennial, and Empire 8 each have two schools ranked.

Trinity leads the NESCAC and the national poll at No. 1 while three other schools also reside in the top-10. Middlebury holds at No. 3 and Bowdoin rises to No. 6 and Colby slips to No. 8. Amherst remains at No. 12 and Hamilton moves to No. 19.

The CAC's two schools are both in the top-10 as Salisbury remains at No. 2 and No. 10 York also holds steady.

The Centennial Conference also has two top-10 schools; Gettysburg remains at No. 5 and Franklin & Marshall moves up to No. 6; these two schools will face each other this week.

Cortland from the SUNYAC holds at No. 4 and Fredonia rises to No. 14; these two schools will meet on the field on Saturday.

The Empire 8's Ithaca remains at No. 13 and St. John Fisher returns to the poll, landing at No. 20.

Stevenson from the Commonwealth Conference enters the ranking at No. 17, just edging out conference rival Messiah as the Falcons slip to No. 18.

Four other conferences boast one school each. The TCNJ Lions from the NJAC remain in the top-10 at No. 9. Susquehanna from the Landmark holds at No. 11 while the USA South's Christopher Newport moves to No. 15. RPI from the Liberty League rises two slots to No. 16.

On Tuesday, No. 13 Ithaca welcomes No. 19 Hamilton in a key New York state tilt. Wednesday brings a Centennial Conference showdown as No. 5 Gettysburg hosts rival and sixth-ranked Franklin & Marshall. Also on Wednesday, a NESCAC skirmish takes place with No. 12 Amherst hosting No. 1 Trinity. On Saturday, No. 4 Cortland takes on No. 14 Fredonia in a SUNYAC contest. The NESCAC tournament also starts on Saturday.

This is the ninth weekly poll by the IWLCA for the 2013 season; the next poll will be released on April 30.
