No. 4 Le Moyne Glides by Southern Connecticut

Syracuse, N.Y. Fourth-ranked Le Moyne got goals from 15 players en route to a 22-5 win over Southern Connecticut on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 action at Ted Grant Field.

The Dolphins opened the scoring just 1:10 into the contest as senior midfielder Gabrielle Kamide (Deferiet, N.Y./Carthage) tallied her 12th goal of the season on a free-position shot. Just over one minute later, junior attacker Kathleen Conese (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) registered her 100th career point by finding the back of the net off a pass from senior attacker Kelly Condon (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua).

Junior midfielder Victoria Nies (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) pushed the lead to 3-0 with an unassisted goal with 26:07 remaining in the half. Freshman attacker Claire Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) finished off a pass from Conese with 25:01 left, while sophomore midfielder Laura Hoffman (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) scored 50 seconds later for a 5-0 lead.

After three and one-half minutes of scoreless action, senior midfielder Jennifer Fabian (Clay, N.Y./C.W. Baker) converted a free-position shot for her 16th goal of the year. Kamide extended the lead with her 13th goal of the campaign off a pass from Condon with 19:04 remaining. Condon moved into 11th place on the program's all-time points chart (142) by scoring her 27th goal of the year at the 17:22 mark after taking a feed from freshman midfielder Kaitlyn Armstrong (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego). Just 29 seconds later, sophomore midfielder Julia Suriani (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca East) scored inside the left post off a pass from Conese.

Nies extended the lead to double-digits by scoring consecutive goals. She scored off a feed from Condon with 15:52 left and then tallied her 25th goal of the season after taking a pass from sophomore attacker Catie McKay (Penfield, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) with 12:46 remaining. Senior attacker Brenna Bauer (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) moved into a tie for fifth place on the career points list (190) by netting her 24th goal of the year with 10:34 left off a feed from Suriani.

Following three and one-half minutes of scoreless play, the Dolphins scored three times in a span of 2:50 for a 15-0 lead. Fabian converted a free-position shot with 6:56 left, freshman attacker Maggie Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) scored a transition goal with 5:59 remaining and then McKay finished off a feed from Fabian with 4:06 to play in the half.

Southern Connecticut State got on the scoreboard with 1:53 remaining in the half on an unassisted goal by Jessica Shaw.

Le Moyne scored twice over the final 1:13 of the half to take a 17-1 lead into the intermission. Claire Monnat scored off a free-position shot with 1:13 left, while freshman midfielder Nicole Gibaldi (Westbury, N.Y./Clarke) tallied her first career goal with 41 seconds left.

The Dolphins started the scoring in the second half as Suriani finished off a feed from freshman midfielder Danielle Kealy (Lorraine, N.Y./South Jefferson) at the 26:37 mark.

After Emily Orser found the back of the net for the Owls with 18:47 left off a pass from Sarah Cebry, freshman midfielder Mary Fadden (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) posted her fourth goal of the year with 17:25 remaining. The Owls continued the see-saw scoring as Katie Walter scored with 15:14 left.

The Dolphins netted back-to-back goals 2:17 apart to push their lead to a game-high 18. Freshman midfielder Morgan Kline (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) scored her second goal of the year at the 10:34 mark, while Kealy found the back of the net for the first time with 8:17 left.
