MILTON, Mass. -- University of New England trailed by one late in the 3rd quarter, but finished with four of the last five markers to defeat Curry College, 10-8, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular-season finale Wednesday afternoon (Apr. 24) at Walter M. Katz Field.

Big Blue (12-4) will enter the CCC postseason tournament after registering a 6-2 ledger during league play, and are slated to host Salve Regina University in the No. 4/No. 5 first round match-up on Saturday (1:00 p.m.).

The Colonels end the year at 7-9 overall, 0-8 in conference action.

Junior Nick Gross (Kennebunk, Maine) scored with 20 ticks left in the 3rd frame to tie things at 7-7 heading into the final period, where, after Curry's John Castellano netted his fourth goal of the contest, UNE tallied the last three goals to secure the win.
