Georgetown Prep Coach Kevin Giblin Gets 400th Win

Georgetown Prep head coach Kevin Giblin won the 400th game of his career on Thursday, April 25, when his Hoyas defeated Episcopal High School (Va.), 12-2.

Giblin has built Georgetown Prep into a national power since becoming the school's first head coach in 1988, compiling an impressive record of 400-85 while guiding the Hoyas to seven IAC titles (1993, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010) and finishing in the top 25 nationally a record 13 times, include the #1 ranking in 2003 and 2006.

Giblin has been honored as "Coach of the Year" 12 times during his career by various organizations, including the Washington Post, the Gazette, US Lacrosse, the Maryland State Lacrosse Coaches Association, and the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Association, among others.

During his tenure at Prep, Giblin has coached 26 high school All-Americans and has seen over 150 of his players go on to play lacrosse at the college level.
