No. 2 Fighting Irish Upended by Ninth-Ranked Syracuse
No. 9 Syracuse dominated the second half on the way to a 10-4 victory over second-ranked Notre Dame in the second game of the Big City Classic in front of almost 20,000 fans at MetLife Stadium on Saturday. Dylan Donahue (3g/1a) and Kevin Rice (1g/3a) led the way for the Orange (11-3, 5-1 Big East), which outscored the Fighting Irish 6-0 in the final quarter. Photos of the action are by Rich Barnes.

No. 6 Cornell Outguns No. 12 Princeton at Big City Classic
Rob Pannell netted five goals and assisted on four others, and Steve Mock and Connor Buczek each scored four times, as sixth-ranked Princeton outgunned No. 12 Princeton in the first game of the Big City Classic at MetLife Stadium on Saturday. With the victory, the Big Red will host the Ivy League tournament and will have a rematch with the Tigers next Friday at 8:00 p.m. Photos of the game are by Rich Barnes.

No. 7 Loyola Shuts Down No. 11 Johns Hopkins
Seventh-ranked Loyola snapped a 13-game losing streak to Johns Hopkins on Saturday at Homewood Field in front of a crowd of almost 8,000. The Greyhounds defeated the Blue Jays, 8-4, with the Loyola defense holding Hopkins scoreless for the final 29 minutes of the game. Mike Sawyer paced the Loyola offense with three goals.
