MACON, Ga. Mercer head women's lacrosse coach Eve Levinson announced the program's first batch of recruits on Thursday, confirming the signing of nine players to National Letters of Intent. The nine student-athletes are set to attend Mercer during the 2013-2014 academic year and will begin Division I competition in the spring of 2015.

"I'm thrilled to welcome nine student-athletes to the Mercer community to build the foundation for our women's lacrosse program," Levinson said.

"These young women have the passion and commitment to set us in the right direction as we prepare to enter Atlantic Sun competition in two years. They bring a multitude of strengths to the field and the classroom, and most importantly are prepared to put in the work to make an impact with the start of Bears Lacrosse.
