The New York Lizards scored the first five goals of the game en route to a 14-8 win over the Ohio Machine, behind four goals and two assists from midfielder Stephen Berger, who was named Player of the Game. The win breaks a two game losing streak for the Lizards, bringing their record to 2-2 on the year, while the loss drops the Machine to 0-3 for the second straight season.
