From there, LIU Post held on for the final three-plus minutes as they closed out the 10-7 victory to claim their fourth title since 2001.

Jackie Sileo led the way for the Mustangs with four goals and a pair of assists while Katie Rotan had a goal and three assists. Ashley Olen delivered three goals Ross and Pierro each had solo goals. Dominique Mosca went the distance, allowing seven goals and making five saves to pick up the championship victory.

Limestone closes out the 2013 season with an overall record of 20-2, perfect 7-0 mark in Conference Carolinas, a No. 2 overall ranking, a pair of NCAA Tournament victories and the second NCAA Division II National Championship appearance in program history.

Notes: This was the second appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championship Game in three years ... the other came in 2011 when they lost 17-4 to No. 1 and two-time defending champion Adelphi on their home field ... along with that first appearance, 2013 marks the second loss to an undefeated team ... this was the first ever meeting between LIU Post and Limestone ... the 2013 season also marks the first time in program history that the Saints had won multiple NCAA postseason games with victories over No. 8 Pfeiffer (13-3) and No. 3 Rollins (11-10, 2OT).
