Sierra Nevada Adds WCLA Lacrosse for 2014, Hires Coach

Incline Village, NV -- Sierra Nevada College has announced the start of women's and men's lacrosse programs for the 2013-2014 season. They have hired Nora Fallon-Oben as head coach of the women's program.

Sierra Nevada College is situated in the mountains on beautiful North Lake Tahoe, just minutes away from the California-Nevada border. The private liberal arts college is well known for a prestigious education, as well as highly competitive ski and snowboard teams. The college will begin their women's lacrosse endeavors by competing in the WCLA as a provisional team in the WWLL.

Fallon-Oben began her coaching career in the DC/Maryland area where she grew up. She coached travel and youth teams for Next Level Athletes in Bethesda, MD as well as helped coach the Varsity and Junior Varsity St. John's College High School [DC] for two years. After a recent relocation to Tahoe City, CA, she helped start the first ever North Tahoe High School girls lacrosse program as the Head Coach.

Fallon-Oben graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2010 and was an integral part of a nationally ranked program for four years. In 2010, she was second in points for her team while leading the squad in caused turnovers. A first team IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region honoree, she understands many depths of the game.

Fallon-Oben's coaching style instills reaping the benefits from a strong work ethic with a fierce defense and patient offense.
