Onondaga Sweeps the NJCAA Player of the Year Honors

Attackman Randy Staats and goalie Warren Hill of national champion Onondaga Community College have been chosen as players of the year by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

Staats was selected as the offensive player of the year. Hill is the defensive player of the year. They helped lead the Lazers to their fifth consecutive national championship this spring and the school's seventh since 2006.

Staats, a sophomore from Six Nations in Canada, previously was named the national attackman of the year and the Region 3 player of the year. He led the NJCAA in scoring with 156 points. Staats will attend Syracuse University.

Hill, a freshman from the Hill Academy was previously selected the national goalie of the year and the Region 3 defensive player of the year.
