3d Rising - Player Evaluations from 3d Lacrosse, 6/10

#5 Joe Mottorazzo, 2014
Kent Denver, Colorado
Position: Midfield
Sub-Position: Two-Way
College Commitmen: Air Force
Rating: Legit

Joe is a blazingly fast two-way midfielder. In almost every game this year he ran an opposing player down from behind, some times gaining as much as ten yards in a forty yard space. Joe has a greasy quick change of direction and an explosive first step that allow to him to get outside of defenders. If he can improve the accuracy of his already powerful shot on the run Joe will be hard to stop.

#6 Joe Rassenfoss, 2015
Kent Denver, Colorado
Position: Midfield
Sub-Position: Face-Off/Two-Way
College Commitment:
Rating: Legit

As only a sophomore Joe was asked to do a tremendous amount for his team. He played on the first line, split face off duties, and played man up. As his work load would suggest, Joe possesses a diverse skill set to accompany his big frame and high level of athleticism. He has a big time and room shot but is less effective on the run; Joe is a better shooter when he drops the head of his stick rather than come straight over the top. Joe is a confident player with great vision. This combination leads to both dazzling assists and maddening turn overs, a ruthless double edged sword.

#34 Gunnar Sveen, 2015
Kent Denver, Colorado
Position: Defense
Sub-Position: On-Ball Cover Guy/Off-Ball
College Commitment:
Rating: Player

If one were to show up fifteen minutes early to a Kent practice he or she would see Gunnar on the field doing footwork drills by himself. That's the type of dude Gunnar is! He has also been blessed with size, strength, and a violent disposition. Gunnar is versatile enough to cover midfielders when the Sun Devils double poled the midfield. He plays smart position defense, takes good approach angles, and throws hard accurate checks. Gunnar's combination of skill, size, coachability, and work ethic make him a coaches dream.

#9 Jaden Franklin, 2015
Kent Denver, Colorado
Position: Attack/Midfield*
Sub-Position: X Attackman/Wing Dodger
College Commitment:
Rating: Legit

The first time I ever saw Jaden in any athletic competition he was playing in an eighth grade football game. He touched the ball seven times, scoring six touchdowns and a two point conversion. This should give you some idea of how athletic Jaden is. As one would imagine, Jayden has a slippery change of direction and explosive first step that make him hard to stay in front of. However, Jaden has a bad habit of letting defenders off the hook by rolling back too much at X rather than continuing to press the corner. When Jayden is front of the goal he can finish from multiple angles but prefers to drop his stick and go low. He is an incredibly coachable kid who wants to be great and soaks up knowledge like a sponge. Jaden is the type of player you can describe a move to during a time out and then he will go execute.
*Jaden played the entire season at attack and led the team in scoring but has played midfield on previous teams.

#10 Charlie Lippitt, 2013
Kent Denver, Colorado
Position: Attack
Sub-Position: Wing Dodger
College Commitment: Denison
Rating: Watch List

Charlie is a big, strong, hard dodging attackman. He has a quick change of direction and dodges physically to get topside of his man. Charlie dodges hard and is not afraid to scarafice his body in an effort to get more angle. He has a powerful time and room shot that he delivers accurately side arm high, low to low, or low to high.
