3d Rising - Player Evaluations from 3d Lacrosse, 6/10

# 27 Mikey McCauley, 2014
Cherry Creek, Colorado
Position: Attack
Sub-Position: Wing Dodger
College Commitment:
Rating: Player

Mikey is a big, powerful attackman who attacks the goal with physical dodges. When he puts his head down to get to the goal passing appears to be a secondary consideration. He uses hitches, fake roll backs, and inside rolls to beat his man on the corner. Mikey moves well off the ball and benefitted from playing with a feeder like Henry Adams, he is also an effective distributor when not dodging. Mikey shot an absurd eighty-one percent for the season.

#24 Michael Morean, 2015
Cherry Creek, Colorado
Position: Midfield
Sub-Position: Two-Way
College Commitment:
Rating: Legit

Michael is a dynamic athlete; he is fast, quick, and powerful. When he has the ball in the offensive half your defense better be ready to slide because Mike is going to beat his man and get downhill in a hurry. The kid can shoot too; he scored twenty-four goals this season on forty-nine percent shooting. Mike can create for others and is an excellent crease feeder. He creates extra possessions by gobbling up groundballs like a PacMan. As a sophomore this year Mike was a starting safety on the Creek Varsity Football team. In short, Mike has the athleticism, skill, and heart to have a major impact on the game every time he steps on the field.

#9 Ryan Arthur, 2014
Cherry Creek, Colorado
Position: Attack
Sub-Position: X-Attackman
College Commitment:
Rating: Player

Ryan is a hard driving attackman who dodges physically, attacking the cage with a total disregard for his own safety and well being. Despite this all out style of play he shoots an outrageous fifty-nine percent. Most of these goals come off low angle shots while driving up field.

#7 Matt Goettelman, 2014
Cherry Creek, Colorado
Position: Defense
Sub-Position: On-Ball Shut-Down
College Commitment: Army
Rating: Player

Matt is an energetic long pole who is the catalyst for much of the Bruins transition. He is active on groundballs and does an outstanding job of getting his team possessions off of face offs. Matt is a strong dude but has trouble opening his hips on change of direction moves. He stays behind dodging midfielders on alley dodges and creates turnovers with a trail-check.

#50 Ben Kingdom, 2016
Cherry Creek, Colorado
Position: Defense
Sub-Position: LSM/On-Ball Shut-Down
College Commitment:
Rating: Legit

Ben is a fluid athlete with quick feet. He plays defense going backward with ease and uses poke checks to effectively maintain his cushion. When a dodger does break his cushion Ben is there with a strong V-hold. There were times when Ben showed his youth by making mental errors such as sliding up field. One can reasonably expect that these problems will disappear with age.

#12 Addison Christensen, 2014
Cherry Creek, Colorado
Position: Goalie
Sub-Position: Big in Net
College Commitment:
Rating: Watch-List

Addison is a big goalie who plays angles intelligently, allowing shooters to run out of space before shooting. He is patient in one on one situations and matches sticks effectively. Against Kent in the state semifinals Addison had several one on one stuffs in the first quarter that allowed his team to build a lead and quashed any momentum the Sun Devils could have gained. Addison has trouble clearing the ball.
