3d Rising - Player Evaluations from 3d Lacrosse, 6/10

#38 Chase Konkel, 2015
Regis Jesuit, Colorado
Position: Midfield
Sub-Position: Wing Dodger
College Commitment:
Rating: Player

Chase is a big dude who uses his size to get his defender off balance with physical dodges. He looks to get underneath his defender from the wing and likes to finish high to high using a leaner. He is one of a few players for the Raiders who looks to create for himself.

# 35 Brian Wegner, 2013
Regis Jesuit, Colorado
Position: Defense
Sub-Position: On-Ball Take-Away
College Commitment: Denver
Rating: Legit

Brian is a strong athlete with quick feet and an active stick. He relies heavily on his athleticism rather than discipline and positioning. Brian seems to be most comfortable after he has been beaten and is hip to hip with his attackman. From this position he throws disruptive checks into the attackman's gloves or waits for a trail check. Brian has adequate stick skills but needs to improve his decision making with the ball.

Chatfield

I had the opportunity to watch the Chatfield team over the course of a pre-season, spring break, and several games during the season. The transformation this team underwent was incredible. The Chargers played a ton of sophomores and even a freshman in net. As a result the Chargers took some lumps as would be expected. However, co-coaches Kevin O'Brien and Clark Woodard have their boys poised to break through and become a team no one is going to want to play next season.

#11 Jordan Alexander, 2016
Chatfield, Colorado
Position: Goalie
Sub-Position: Quick Reflex
College Commitment:
Rating: Player

Against eventual state champion Arapahoe, in his first Varsity start, Jordan played unconscious and almost singlehandedly kept his team in the game in the first half. He is a quick athlete who explodes to the ball and has a knack for getting a piece of shots with his body. Jordan is a confident and capable stick handler who can throw team mates open on the clear. He is all ready a strong communicator and as he matures and increases his understanding of defensive concepts Jordan's ability to truly lead his defense will only increase.

#26 Jeremy Thompson, 2015
Chatfield, Colorado
Position: Midfield
Sub-Position: Two-Way
College Commitment:
Rating: Player

Against Arapahoe, Jeremy had one of those plays that makes you reach down and pull your jaw off the floor. I believe the play illustrates his abilities perfectly. Some poor, unsuspecting Arapahoe midfielder was led a little too far on a lead pass heading into his offensive box. Jeremy T'd him up and unloaded a devastating body check, scooped the ball up, raced down field, and hit the far low attackman with a no look skip pass, setting him up for an easy finish. Jeremy ended the season with twenty four points evenly distributed between goals and assists.

#24 Eric Potts, 2014
Chatfield, Colorado
Position: Midfeild
Sub-Position: Wing Dodger/Two-Way
College Commitment:
Rating: Player

Eric is a midfielder who likes to dodge like a converted attackman. He is an adept wing and invert dodger who consistently gets topside for his strong lefty rip. Eric can bury the ball with time and space or on the run with a powerful side arm high shot. He is smooth finisher inside who is willing to pay the price for glory.

#6 Michael Harris, 2015
Chatfield, Colorado
Position: Midfield
Sub-Position: Two-Way
College Commitment:
Rating: Player

Michael is a quick, fast athlete with a powerful, low center of gravity. He is a split and go alley dodger from up top who can score on the run or with time and room. Michael has a quick, snappy release that generates a disproportionally powerful shot relative to its short wind up. As only a sophomore he was the starting running back on the Chargers' 5A football team this past fall.
