Corcoran Named First-Ever Head Lacrosse Coach at Wabash

Corcoran also held successful head coaching positions at the University of Pennsylvania and Skidmore College. He began his coaching career an assistant at Corning East High School in New York, Hobart College, and Princeton University.

Corcoran has been inducted into the Corning, New York Sports Hall of Fame (1984), the Washington College Athletics Hall of Fame (2010), and the Skidmore Athletics Hall of Fame (2012 as part of the 2005 Team induction). He is the past vice-president of the United States Lacrosse Coaches Association and past chairman of the DIII All-America Committee.

"Terry brings immense experience and invaluable contacts to Wabash as he has successfully built three different Division III lacrosse programs and taken them to new heights," said Wabash Director of Athletics Joe Haklin. "He is highly regarded in the lacrosse community as a recruiter and as a strategist. Furthermore, his belief that hard work and discipline are the cornerstones of success fits in well with the Wabash athletic ethos."

"Our student-athletes should expect a most knowledgeable, organized, prepared, energetic, and dedicated mentor," Dean Raters added. "He will remind them of his boss, Joe Haklin, in terms of his passion and enthusiasm. Kudos to Joe and the search committee for attracting a deep and talented pool of candidates, resulting in the hire of a man of widespread recognition and respect in lacrosse circles."

Corcoran begins his duties immediately.
