"Tyler is a great competitor at the face-off X," noted Svec. "I look for Tyler to hunt groundballs and fight for each possession."

Another local product from Guilderland, N.Y., Stephen Polsinelli was a First Team Times Union and Suburban Council All-Star after tallying 33 goals and 15 assists this spring for the Dutchmen. A four-year varsity competitor and three-year starter, Polsinelli participated in the 2012 Champion All-Star Showcase at Walt Disney World.

"Stephen is a true two-way midfielder who can get up and down the field fast," said Svec. "He is a scrappy player who plays at a high speed all the time."

Jake Shapiro is a face-off specialist who was an All-Founders League selection this spring while playing a postgraduate year alongside fellow incoming freshman Jordan Barlow at the Trinity-Pawling School. A native of Lido Beach, N.Y., Shapiro was a 2012 Brine National Lacrosse All-American. He played high school lacrosse at Long Beach High and club lacrosse with For Love of the Game.

"Jake's work ethic and leadership in addition to his skills at the face-off X allowed his school to be one of the best in New England," explained Svec.

A three-sport standout who was also an All-Conference selection in both football and soccer, Jon-Michael Tokar was a 2011 Adidas All-American. A versatile athlete who played every position on the field at both short and long stick save for goalie, the Big Flats, N.Y. native posted 27 goals and 24 assists while adding 38 groundballs this spring for Corning Painted Post. The Corning Leader Player of the Year, Tokar was part of both the Brine All-American and Brogden Cup teams and was a three-time Nike Upstate Rising Lacrosse and Section IV First Team All-Conference selection.

"Jon-Michael is an excellent athlete that has the ability to attack the goal from out top or behind, making him extremely dangerous," said Svec.

A native of Levittown, N.Y., Devin Votta was a four-year varsity starter and two-time captain at Division Avenue. A three-time Nassau County Rising Team and two-time All-County selection, Votta tallied 15 goals and 16 assists while picking up 68 groundballs this spring. Votta, who played club lacrosse with For Love of the Game, amassed 113 points and 204 groundballs during his high school career.

"Devin is a tough player who works between the lines," noted Svec. "He is a high character young man."

The incoming Class of 2017 joins a program that finished 8-9 overall this spring and advanced to a fifth consecutive MAAC championship game.
