Update #2: Wingate Recruits for the 2014 Lacrosse Season

Elias lettered for two years for head coach Brent Hasselbeck at Archbishop McCarthy High School. In his senior season, Elias collected 62 ground balls (led team) and caused 25 turnovers while leading his team to a district championship for the first time in school history. He was also a captain and an All-County honorable mention pick from the Miami Herald. In his junior year, Elias picked up 50 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers and received his team's most improved award at the end of the season.

Thompson lettered for three years at Providence High School for head coach Rob Horrigan. He was a senior captain and defensive most valuable player on the team in 2013. Thompson received All-Conference first team selections at the end of both the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Thompson helped Providence become regional champions in 2011. Thompson took home the Most Outstanding Horticulture Student award during his tenure at Providence.

Ormerod lettered as a goalkeeper for Seminole High School four seasons for head coach Jeff Reedy. He led the team in saves and save percentage. Ormerod finished his high school career with 642 total saves. His senior season, Ormerod had a .630 save percentage, 171 saves, 7.62 GAA and scooped up 39 ground balls. A two-year team captain, he was selected to the All-County first team and the Central Florida Senior All-Star squad along with earning the team's Senior Achievement award. Ormerod's junior season was his first as team captain; he was selected for the team's Difference Maker award as well. He won the defensive most valuable player award his freshman year. Ormerod graduated cum laude in 2013.

((July 13th, 2013) Wingate, N.C -- Wingate head coach Michael Lawson has announced 11 additional commits to his 2013-14 recruiting class from Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.

The players are attackmen Seth Grimwood (Huntingtown, Md.), Tanner Kotch (Renfrew, Pa.), Michael Roukous (Dexter, N.Y.) and Josh Wilson (Bel Air, Md.), along with midfielders Vincent Aicllo (Centereach, N.Y.), Reginald Daniel Jr. (Hagerstown, Md.), Shane Joswick (New York Mills, N.Y.) and Thomas Rosaschi (Syracuse, N.Y.) join defenders Alexander Finan (Lawrenceville, N.J.) and Jacob Humerickhouse (Dexter, N.Y.) and goalkeeper Jason Ziegler (Glen Burnie, Md.).

The Bulldogs signed 30 student-athletes for the 2014 season. “We feel we had many holes to fill due to graduation and our overall depth and talent,” Lawson says. “We feel we addressed those needs quite well. It is exciting to bring in a very balanced and talented class...we will look for many of these guys to have an immediate impact. At each position, we have a wealth of talent and leadership. We are anxious to see how this comes together.”

The new student-athletes at the attack position look to make an immediate impact the moment they step onto the field. Grimwood lettered for three years under head coach Joe Casalino at Northern High School. During his time in high school, Grimwood led his team to three conference championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013. As a junior and a senior, he led the conference in assists and was second on the team in goals scored each of those two seasons. Grimwood graduates Northern recording the third-highest career assist total in the school's history. Grimwood received All-Conference second team honors his junior year and All-Conference first team honors his senior season.

Kotch lettered for three seasons at Butler Area High School under the tutelage of Brandon Hoskinson. Kotch was a team captain his senior season and along with leading the team in total points with 71 (29 goals and 42 assists), he was also voted the team's most valuable player. His junior season, Kotch was an all-conference player as he scored 57 goals and dished out 49 assists (106 total points). Kotch graduates Butler Area with a 3.900 cumulative GPA.
