Boston U. Announces Inaugural Lacrosse Recruiting Class

Elliott Burr (Hamilton, Mass./Syracuse)
Played four games last season at Syracuse ... Played varsity lacrosse at Hamilton-Wenham High School ... Set the Hamilton-Wenham single-season scoring record with 101 points (61 goals, 40 assists) as a senior in 2012 ... Finished his scholastic career with a school-record 180 points (110 goals, 70 assists) ... Three-time all-league selection ... Team captain as a senior ... First Hamilton-Wenham alum to play Division I lacrosse.

Polley on Burr: "He's a Syracuse transfer and a local product who took some important faceoffs for the Orange this past year. We expect him to compete for time at the faceoff X and also be a do-it-all midfielder for us."

Dominick Calisto (Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony's)
Was a varsity starter for three seasons at St. Anthony's High School ... Helped Saint Anthony's claim CHSAA Championship during his sophomore and junior seasons ... Played for Long Island Express club team for three seasons ... Also played quarterback on the varsity football team.

Polley on Calisto: "He was a starter on a very strong program who played in a lot of big games. He's a fundamental player who is good off the ground, a good positional guy and a good leader. We expect him to come in and compete for a starting position on our defense."

Christian Carson-Banister (Dallas, Texas/Dallas Jesuit)
Played varsity lacrosse at nationally-ranked Dallas Jesuit ... Recipient of the Ranger Heart Award, granted to an outstanding athlete who displays leadership on and off the field ... Was an All-District selection as a junior ... Member of Iron Horse Lacrosse during his senior season ... Played for Leathernecks during his junior season and Dallas Select for two years ... Also a black belt in martial arts.

Polley on Carson-Banister: "He was a major contributor on a nationally ranked team in Texas. He's a very good stopper, a great kid and a vocal leader between the pipes."

James Clarke (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset)
Played three seasons of varsity lacrosse at Manhasset ... Was an All-Conference selection as a senior captain ... Earned All-Conference honors as he helped Manhasset win conference title ... Was captain of JV team before he moved to varsity during his sophomore year ... Also captained varsity basketball team during his senior season.

Polley on Clarke: "James is a first-line midfielder from a very powerful high school program where he was a major contributor for two years. He can really shoot the ball well."

Jake Dansey (Clifton, Va./Chantilly)
Captained Chantilly to state title during his senior season ... Earned All-America, All-Region and All-Conference honors in 2013 ... Named conference Defensive Player of the Year, was a First Team All-Met honoree and earned Team MVP award during senior season after he led team in ground balls (84) and caused turnovers (58) ... Helped Chantilly reach state title game in 2011 and 2012 ... Won 2011 Brine Shootout with Blackwolf ... Earned All-Region and All-Conference honors in 2012.

Polley on Dansey: "Jake led his high school to a state championship last year. He has great ball skills, is very tough and great off the ground. We expect him to be one of our top defenders next year."

Cal Dearth (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield)
Played varsity lacrosse at Ridgefield High School ... Captained the Tigers to the Connecticut state semifinals as a senior and earned All-America honors from US Lacrosse ... Was a First Team All-State selection and earned All-League honors during his senior season.
