Boston U. Announces Inaugural Lacrosse Recruiting Class

Polley on Talkow: "He was an All-American from Florida who was not only a tremendous faceoff player but also scored 70-plus goals. He did a little bit of everything in high school and we're excited about Sam's versatility. He'll take faceoffs for us, could play defense for us and if his skills continue to develop could help on the offensive end."

Sam Tenney (Providence, R.I./High Point)
Transfer from High Point University ... . Played varsity lacrosse at Moses Brown High School ... Tallied 104 goals and 68 assists over high school career ... Was an Under Armour All-American ... Earned All-Division and All-State honors in both his senior and junior seasons ... Was an All-Star selection at the Baltimore Summer Kickoff tournament ... Also earned All-State honors as a sophomore ... Played club lacrosse with the Top Gun Fighting Clams.

Polley on Tenney: "He's a local product who went down to High Point for a year. Sam's a big body with great hands and great skills. He's a good outside shooter who can handle the ball and will compete for time at attack."

Ryan Tinklepaugh (Syracuse, N.Y./Hobart)
Transfer from Hobart College ... Played three seasons of varsity lacrosse at West Genesee ... Earned First Team All-League honors as a senior ... Helped team win section championship as a sophomore and a junior ... Named a Nike Rising Sophomore ... Captained the freshman lacrosse team.

Polley on Tinklepaugh: "He comes from a great high school program. He's very versatile with two good hands. He's athletic, big and someone we're very excited about."

Robby Weingart (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional)
Played two varsity seasons at Eastern Regional High School ... Missed senior year due to injury ... Led team in assists and points as captain, garnering First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-South Jersey honors ... Named 2012 Brine All-American ... Started on varsity team as a sophomore, leading team in assists ... Also played for South Jersey Shamrocks.

Polley on Weingart: "Robby's a quick attackman who handles the ball well and can see the field. He'll be good in the two-man game, has good vision and does a little bit of everything."

Court Whitney (North Chesterfield, Va./Douglas S. Freeman)
Played three seasons of varsity lacrosse, including his senior year at Douglas S. Freeman High School after recovering from a broken vertebra during his freshman year ... Captained team as a senior and earned All-District and All-Region honors ... Played for Mountain Lakes High School in New Jersey during his sophomore and junior seasons ... Helped lead team to Morris County Tournament victory as a junior.

Polley on Whitney: "He's a good ball stopper, a good leader and a good communicator. He will compete for the starting goalie position."

Gregory Wozniak (Yardley, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep)
Captained Holy Ghost Prep during his senior year and was a Top 205 Rising Senior All-Star ... Helped lead Holy Ghost to Bicentennial Athletic League title during junior season ... Earned First Team All-League honors during his sophomore and junior seasons ... Also played two years of varsity basketball.

Polley on Wozniak: "He comes from a long line of BU alums; both of Greg's brothers attended BU and played club lacrosse year. Greg had a very nice senior year. He is a big, aggressive and athletic defender who will give us depth at the defensive position."

Brady Wulster (Wyckoff, N.J./Don Bosco)
Captained Don Bosco to state championship during his senior season ... Was team's offensive MVP after leading Don Bosco in scoring in 2013 ... Earned Second Team All-State, First Team All-County, First Team All-League and First Team All-Group honors as a senior ... Helped guide Don Bosco to state finals as a junior en route to being named Second Team All-County ... Also played on the varsity team as a sophomore.
