Cyclists Raise 10K for Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse

On Saturday, July 13th, New Canaan residents Jack Vaughan and Harley Brown, co-founders of, embarked on a 500-mile bike tour around Connecticut to raise funds to help their friends at Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse.

Their trek has taken them to the four corners of the state, and on Saturday, June 20 they'll cross the 'finish' line at the Margaret E. Morton Government Center where Mayor Bill Finch and Don Wilson, founder/executive director of Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse (BYL) will welcome them.

LAXTrainers chose to ride for BYL because of their relationship with Don Wilson, and BYL's logistical needs with transportation to and from their playing fields. Vaughan and Brown are making a documentary of their journey to help raise awareness of BYL's efforts to bring lacrosse instruction to Bridgeport kids while raising money for a van or bus to assist BYL.

Where: Mucci Memorial Plaza, across the street from the Margaret E. Morton Government Center, 999 Broad St., Bridgeport CT
